  • Pope Leo XIV's World Peace Message

Let us join the universal Church in reflecting on Pope Leo XIV’s Message for the World Day of Peace, titled: 'Towards an Unarmed and Disarming Peace.' In a world increasingly shaped by division and the rise of autonomous technologies, the Holy Father reminds us that true peace cannot be built on fear or the power of weapons. Instead, he calls us to a 'disarmament of the heart'—a radical commitment to dialogue and the protection of human dignity.

We are invited to move beyond the logic of conflict and to pray specifically for those working in diplomacy and technology, that they may prioritize the human person above all else. Click HERE for the full text of the Holy Father's message.

  • 2026 ACA Kick-off 2/14-15

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

“This is the hour for love” Pope Leo XIV’s words remind us that love and the joy that flows from it are not for later. Love is for now. Through your support of the Annual Catholic Appeal, a Love that Strengthens, and a Joy that Sustains takes root in parishes across our Diocese the very moment you give.

    • Your gift supports individuals and families through parish ministries that walk with them in their journey of faith
    • Your gift provides care, dignity, and support to the poor, the elderly, the sick, and our retired priests.
    • Your gift helps form future priests, deacons, and leaders who will carry Christ’s joy into our communities.

Every gift serves a meaningful role in bringing this mission to life.
Thank you for coming together with faith, courage, and generous hearts.
    Now is the moment!

    Yours in Christ,
    Bishop David O'Connell
